Why did your company get involved in the COMMANDS?
At MASA Group, we’re committed to driving innovation in defence. Our flagship product, MASA SWORD, will be used In the COMMANDS project to design, test and validate concepts in a realistic synthetic environment. It is a state-of-the-art simulation and AI platform, that was selected for its ability to model operations, enhance doctrine-of-use analysis and support decision-making.
What is your specific role in the project?
We play a central role in integrating MASA SWORD with the SILVER BMS using the C2SIM standard, a NATO stanag. This integration delivers a next-gen planning tool to evaluate, refine, and compare operational strategies in real-time. We also contribute by modelling new equipment and proposing innovative doctrines, ensuring the COMMANDS System of Systems meets the evolving demands of modern warfare.
How do you see the added value of COMMANDS for the European armed forces?
COMMANDS is a game-changer, enabling smarter, faster decisions, reducing casualties, and conserving resources. Its AI-driven simulations revolutionise planning, enhance operational efficiency, and provide European forces a decisive edge in future high-stakes missions.
