Why did your company get involved in the COMMANDS?

COMMANDS represents a strategic opportunity for LNE to contribute our evaluation expertise to a vital defence initiative while strengthening our technical infrastructure to better serve both defence and civilian industries.

What is your specific role in the project?

LNE coordinates evaluation activities within COMMANDS, applying our expertise in testing protocols and measurement standards to assess complex defence systems. As France’s national metrology and testing laboratory, we design rigorous evaluation frameworks for multi-scale technological integration. As the systems that make up the project are integrated together, LNE supervises the testing of all their capabilities as well as interfaces, to ensure compliance with the development plan.

How do you see the added value of COMMANDS for the European armed forces?

COMMANDS brings together partners from different backgrounds with expertise in various defence fields, leveraging these differences to integrate all technologies into an advanced system of systems. The final product of COMMANDS will allow seamless cooperation between manned and unmanned assets, reducing operational risks for European armed forces.
